Eriksimon
These are cool too from Ignite Amps- http://www.igniteamps.com/ These seem to suit my set-up perfectly. Good shout Presence. Thanks They're ridiculously good quality for free plugins, and even if you're not into rock/metal the gain pedal can beef up other amp sims very nicely. Wholeheartedly agree! The other day I "remastered" my latest track by sending it through the Clean section of "The Anvil" - it was the finishing touch to it! Very nice, very crispy/tuby/analogy/orsomethinglikethatty... btw, both tracks are freely downloadable for A/B-ing... http://soundcloud.com/artflywork/never-return-take-it-away http://soundcloud.com/artflywork/never-return-take-it-away-the
Rev. Juda Sleaze
Some more props for Ignite Amp's AUs: I trialled Amplitube's Tube Screamer pedal, and compared to the Ignite version it sucks big hairy balls.
krist
Agreed. That TS emulation is simply the best I've heard, bar none. My guess is that the input/output buffer is no stranger to that.

bobsbarricades
So I'm realizing there are a plethora of user made Kontakt libraries out there and I'm curious what your favorite ones are. Is there a database of sorts where people go? Also organization tips for keeping them together? I'll be honest I've never used Reaktor or Kontakt until recently I found some cool sounds in Reaktor - so time to start 'splorin'! (also welcome any tips for organizing Reaktor ensembles as well. I'm using the free editions for both and I just went to /app support/NI/Reaktor/IELibrary and put some Twisted Sounds freebies unzipped folders in there. Currently updating all my NI stuff (8 updates! what have I been doing?!) so can't see if it'll be easily organized or not, but I take it I can just navigate there via a file browser? though I do like the visual cue you get with the compilation I imagine that's reserved for NI additions?) late to the party! sorry [edit] - so Reaktor - What gives. I just updated it to 5.5.x something via service center and go to check out some of those Twisted Sounds freebies and when I go to load them it says I can't save and have to use in demo mode =( Poo. Are these restrictions in place if I picked up Komplete 8 Elements?
Presence
This is a favorite. http://www.two-notes.com/en/software/torpedo-pi-free/ I use this setting to beef up high gain guitar tones and it works beautifully. Make sure that you put it before any amp sim (first insert slot). I got a seriously beefy tone with>PI-Free>Tube Screamer(TS-999 from Ignite Amps)>Lepou LeGion>Logic Multipressor to control the low mids and highs then blend in 6 different IRs via sends. I got the following info from a guy called bmanic off another forum: Turn off EVERYTHING except the Power Amplifier block. Set it exactly like this (for the flattest possible frequency response): 1) PP EL34 amp block 2) Presence 100% 3) Depth around 12% 4) Triode configuration

I was just going back and realizing that it wasn't there, because I thought it was, after seeing I then had SSL plug-ins. There are 2 others that are here, I have attached a screen shot for proof. This X-Orcism one is pretty unique. Mark PS. I emailed SSL, asking to update it.
